Technical Description

This turbo oil feed and return line kit is designed for Ford Territory Turbo, Ghia Turbo and FPV F6X SY / SY II models powered by Barra 4.0L 245T or 270T engines converted to a top-mount Garrett G-Series G40, G42 or G45 turbocharger.

When upgrading to a large-frame top-mount turbocharger, the original rigid oil feed and drain pipes may no longer suit the revised turbo position and routing. The original engine-side oil feed fitting also contains a small internal filter that can become restricted and is difficult to inspect while installed. On the return side, restricted hose, damaged flange seals or incorrect routing can slow the gravity-fed oil return from the turbocharger.

This GryphonTek kit replaces both oil circuits with a -4AN PTFE braided oil feed line, serviceable external inline filter, oil pressure sensor tee adapter and a G40/G42/G45 oil feed fitting with a 2.0 mm restrictor. The oil return system uses a reinforced 3/4" NBR hose with CNC-machined turbo and engine-side drain flanges to connect the turbocharger to the factory Barra engine return port.

Correct downward drain routing is required. Avoid sharp bends, kinks, low points or extended horizontal hose sections that may restrict gravity oil return.
