Technical Description
This turbo oil feed and return line kit is designed for Ford Falcon XR6 Turbo and FPV BA, BF, FG and FG-X Barra 4.0L engines fitted with a Garrett GT42R, including GT4202R and GT4294R, in a Top Mount configuration.
A Top Mount conversion changes the position and routing of the turbo oil connections, making the original rigid feed and drain pipes difficult to align or reuse. This kit provides both the pressurized oil supply and gravity oil return connections required between the Barra engine and GT42R turbocharger.
The oil feed system uses a -4AN PTFE braided line connected through an oil pressure sensor tee adapter, allowing the factory sensor to remain installed. A serviceable external inline filter is installed in the feed circuit, while the GT42R oil feed flange incorporates a 2.0mm restrictor to regulate oil delivery to the ball-bearing CHRA.
The oil return system uses a flexible 3/4-inch reinforced NBR hose with dedicated GT42R turbo-side and Barra engine-side drain flanges. Because turbo oil return relies on gravity, the CHRA must be correctly clocked and the hose must maintain a continuous downward path without kinks, restrictions or low spots.
