Technical Description

This turbo oil drain hose kit is designed for Ford Falcon XR6 Turbo and FPV BA, BF, FG and FG-X Barra 4.0L engines upgraded with a Garrett G-Series G40, G42 or G45 turbocharger in a Top Mount configuration.

A Top Mount turbo installation changes the position and alignment of the turbo oil outlet, making the original rigid return pipe difficult to reuse. The raised turbo position also requires a suitable gravity-return path between the turbocharger and engine.

This GryphonTek kit uses a flexible 3/4-inch reinforced NBR hose with dedicated G40 / G42 / G45 turbo-side and Barra engine-side drain flanges. The flexible configuration allows the return hose to be routed around the upgraded manifold and surrounding engine components.

Turbo oil return is gravity-fed. The hose must be installed with a continuous downward path toward the engine, without kinks, restrictions or low spots that can retain oil. The turbocharger CHRA must also be correctly clocked before final installation.
