Technical Description

This turbo oil feed line kit is designed for MINI Cooper S and John Cooper Works R55-R61 models fitted with N14 and N18 1.6L turbo engines. It replaces the factory rigid turbo oil feed pipe referenced by OE 11657534454 with a flexible -4AN PTFE braided stainless steel hose assembly.

A common problem with the original oil feed line is rotation leak failure at the joined section between the rigid pipe and banjo fitting. Once the banjo fitting begins to rotate independently from the pipe, pressurized engine oil can seep directly from the joint. Replacing only the copper washers will not repair the leak if the pipe-to-fitting connection itself has become loose.

The GryphonTek replacement removes the original rigid pipe and crimped banjo joint from the oil feed path. Its flexible PTFE hose design helps reduce installation stress on the connections and makes routing around the compact turbocharger area easier.

The turbo-side banjo bolt includes a built-in 1.8mm restrictor to help control oil flow and reduce the risk of turbo over-oiling. The engine-side banjo bolt is unrestricted to maintain oil supply into the feed line.
