Technical Description

This turbo oil feed line kit is designed for MINI Cooper D and One D models equipped with the 1.6L W16 diesel engine and Garrett GT1544V turbocharger. It replaces the factory rigid oil feed pipe and rotating swivel connection with a flexible -4AN PTFE braided line and application-specific banjo fittings.

The original W16 turbo oil feed pipe uses a swivel joint sealed by an internal O-ring. Repeated engine heat, vibration, and movement at the rotating joint can harden the seal and cause a rotation leak, leaving oil around the turbocharger and exhaust side of the engine.

The GryphonTek replacement removes the factory swivel joint from the oil feed path. Its flexible construction allows controlled movement between the engine and turbocharger while reducing stress on the fittings and maintaining a secure oil supply connection.
