Technical Description

This turbo oil drain hose kit is designed for Mazda MX-5 Miata NA (MK1) and NB (MK2/MK2.5) models being converted from naturally aspirated to turbo using a compatible BorgWarner EFR 6258 or EFR 6758 turbocharger.

The kit provides the gravity oil return connection from the turbo bearing housing to the engine oil pan. It includes an EFR specific billet aluminum drain flange, reinforced 3/4 inch NBR oil hose, oil pan return fitting, flange gasket, clamps, and mounting hardware.

A turbo oil drain operates by gravity and must allow oil to leave the bearing housing without restriction. Correct turbo orientation, hose routing, oil pan fitting position, and crankcase ventilation are required to minimize oil backup and drain back pressure.
